Who we are
Come Steak It is operated by Good Shepherd Grass Ranch, based in Overton, Texas. We raise 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef and sell direct to families through this site.
Deposits and payments
Shares are reserved with a deposit paid at checkout. Deposits are non-refundable once your share is claimed — they hold your slot on the steer's board. The remaining balance is due before pickup. If the balance isn't settled by the deadline we notify you about, the share returns to the board and the deposit is forfeited. We'll always contact you first if something comes up.
Pickup
Beef is picked up at Good Shepherd Grass Ranch in Overton, Texas, or by arrangement at a Dallas meetup point. Pickup times are scheduled after processing. You'll receive a link to choose a time window. Bring coolers — we'll have your boxes ready. If you can't make your scheduled time, reply to your confirmation email and we'll work something out.
Product
Weights are estimated. Actual packaged yield depends on the individual animal and cut instructions. We'll always tell you the actual weight before your balance is due. Beef is vacuum-sealed and frozen. We stand behind what we raise: if something is wrong with your order, email hello@comesteakit.com and we'll make it right.
Text messages (SMS)
If you provide a phone number — at Stripe checkout or through the contact form — you may receive transactional text messages from Come Steak It related to your order: deposit confirmation, balance reminders, board-fill updates, pickup scheduling, and pickup reminders. Message frequency varies by order stage. Message and data rates may apply. To opt out, reply STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or email hello@comesteakit.com. Opting out will not affect your order.

If you include a phone number in the contact form, we may send a brief text to follow up on your question. This is one-time and conversational — not a marketing list.
